At RBW, we regard Health, Safety and the Environment as being of the utmost importance.

COR
We hold a Certificate of Recognition from Alberta Workplace Health and Safety. The Certificate of Recognition (or COR) Program was developed to recognize companies with exemplary health and safety programs that meet or exceed an industry-developed standard. All RBW employees undergo extensive training in Health & Safety policies and procedures including Safe Operating Practices and Emergency Response. All drivers also receive training in First Aid, H₂S Alive, WHMIS and TDG.

ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
RBW also holds ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certifications. An ISO 9001 Quality Management System includes many components to ensure operations of a company are conducted in a consistent and reliable manner. The ISO 9001 standard also places emphasis on complete and accurate documentation and the generation, maintenance and storage of records. Companies holding ISO 14001 certification have procedures and records in place to ensure consistent evaluation and management of the impacts of their operations on the environment. Both ISO standards have, at their core, the tenet of continuous improvement of the management system, of operations, and of service.

Approved Vendors List
As part of our QEH&S Management System, RBW Waste Management Ltd. has an Approved Vendors List. To ensure we receive quality products from reputable, responsible companies, we take into consideration whether potential suppliers hold a COR and ISO 9001/14001 certifications before placing them on our Approved Vendors List.

All three standards, COR, ISO 9001, 14001 are voluntary standards to which RBW Waste Management Ltd. complies. In addition to regular internal audits, all three standards are audited annually by an independent third party auditor.
